Running and Life Episode 10 August 2010

For runners everywhere

This month we're proud to present an exclusive report from a fantastic race: The 24 hour Thunder Run.  We follow Team "Impossible is Everything" as they try to get themselves on to the leader board in this team relay over a tough 10K loop.

The music used in the Thunder Run item was downloaded legally and for free from Jamendo (www.jamendo.com)
  • The first and last bits of music was Satellite by "major Major"
  • The slower music in the middle is After Hours by "sion"

And in this slightly shorter-than-normal podcast we once again catch up with Barry the Baton as he heads for Land's End.

And don't forget that we'd love to get your thoughts, opinions and views on all things running - just email us at runningandlife@hotmail.co.uk.

Running and Life Episode 7 May 2010

For runners everywhere

We're back - and boy do we have a special podcast for you this month!

In a slightly longer than usual podcast we have an exclusive insight into what it takes to run ten marathons in ten consecutive days.

The Brathay Ten-in-Ten took place earlier this month and the youngest female runner, Naomi Prasad, kept an audio diary just for this podcast.  She talks about the highs of taking part in such an exclusive event as well as having to deal with some major lows over the ten days.

You can still donate to Naomi's fundraising here:  http://www.justgiving.com/naomiruns10in10/

Or you can give directly to the Brathay charity here: www.brathaywindermeremarathon.org.uk/brathay-10-in-10.aspx

Also in this podcast we catch up with Barry the Baton as it makes its way around the coast of Britain - and yes, they still urgently need volunteers for this fab challenge, especially in the more remote parts of the country. Contact them here: www.coastersgb.co.uk
